Jon grew up in a rural section of Painted Post, and lives nearby in Corning. He enjoys cooking and sharing interesting new recipes with people he meets. Jon likes the challenge of helping people use food items they can get at local farmer’s markets, food pantries, and from their gardens. He learned about nutrition and making healthy choices from taking Culinary Arts classes at Alfred State College, and by working locally in the kitchens of Corning Inc. and in the Seafood Department at Corning Wegmans. He also has had many invaluable learning experiences with the great nutrition educators he has worked with in CCE nutrition since 2004. Jon also values spending time with his family and got his start in the kitchen by helping his Mom.
