Think Breakfast Resources for Educators
Do you want to help your students learn the value of a healthy breakfast? Think Breakfast is a set of engaging tools to inspire students and parents to make breakfast part of their morning routine. The free Think Breakfast! kit, available for grades K–5, 6–8, and 9–12, includes standards-aligned teaching guides, student activity guides, posters, cookbooks, fun videos, and classroom giveaways.
Participants of a Cooking Matters for Adults series class learned some new ways to cut down on the unhealthy fat content of standard dishes such as fried chicken and potato fries. With a little creativity, such as coating chicken in crumbled cornflakes, a similar taste and texture can be achieved to a less healthy favorite like fried chicken.
