School snacks just got healthier!

This info graphic shows how school snack choices have fewer "empty" calories than in the past.

On World Food Day October 24, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Tompkins Count collaborated with Little Tree Orchard in Newfield for The Big Apple Crunch event. The apples for the crunch were provided by the orchard. The families also were able to pick a peck of apples for free compliments of the Family Resource Connection Tompkins program. This is a great way to get families to support local produce as well as feeding their families better for less.
