Physical Activity at Home, Work and Play
Adding activity into your day is possible. Choose activities that you enjoy. Adults should aim for at least 2½ hours or 150 minutes of physical activity each week. Every little bit adds up, and doing something is better than doing nothing. Most important—have fun while being active!
On August 15 and 16, Lyons Elementary & Middle School classroom, specialty and PE teachers, administrators, and support staff participated in a fun, hands-on training with Finger Lakes Eat Smart to launch Coordinated Approach to Child Health (CATCH), a school-based health program designed to promote physical activity and healthy food choices. Learn more about CATCH by watching the video below. Schedule a CATCH orientation by contacting Mary Lee Bourbeau, Project Director (email@example.com or 315-331-8415), or Sarah Hess, Environmental Nutritionist (firstname.lastname@example.org or 607-583-3359).
