Build a Healthy Plate With Vegetables - for CACFP providers

Here are some great ways to offer vegetables at meals and snacks in child care settings such as schools and Head Start.

Students at Hendy Elementary School made this bulletin board to spotlight students that were “caught” making healthy food choices and being physically active. Hendy Elementary School works with Finger Lakes Eat Smart New York to implement CATCH, a Coordinated Approach to Child Health. CATCH is based on the CDC Whole School, Whole Community, Whole Child model in which health education, school environment, and family/community involvement work together to support youth in a healthy lifestyle.
