We did a full cooking demo using the Pasta with Beans and Greens recipe for the youth, who were extremely interested in watching and learning about the ingredients and why they are healthy. All the youth who watched the demo tried the food. And, many who were not able to watch also came over for a sample. In addition, The Foodlink Curbside Market parks just one building over from the Boys & Girls Club, so we were able to walk the youth over to the truck after the workshop so that they could see it and use pocket change to get some fruits and vegetables. Any youth who didn’t have pocket change could get a free apple.
